To advertise Neon's semi-annual open mic, we wanted to take a creative approach to encouraging more people to participate in the event. With winter coming to a close, we harnessed the positive associations with spring through imagery and copy to inspire employees to share their stories, poems, and jokes during a time of new beginnings and renewal.

We created sculptures out of discarded drafts as a way of illustrating how the frustrations of being a writer can ultimately be worthwhile and turn into something new and beautiful.
